Q. The output of my bone oscillator is low or intermittent. What can I try?
A. Your instrument may require repair, but first try this quick trick. Unplug the small pin connector cord at the oscillator, flip it over, plug it back in, and the check it out. This works about 90% of the time.
Q. The electrode impedance of a cable on our ABR equipment is high, even after we replaced it with another one. What else could it be?
A. Well did you replace it with a brand new cable, or one that you had laying around in a drawer? Many customers keep old cables after purchasing new ones, and have no idea about their condition. First, throw out all those old cables and try a new one.
Q. One of my earphones is not working. Can I order a new headset and just plug it in?
A. Yes you can but a complete headset is expensive and will require a calibration. Besides, this is usually unnecessary. It could be faster and less expensive to have your existing headset repaired.
Q. How often should I change the water in my Grams irrigator?
A. The water should be changed about once a month. The instrument should also be flushed out every couple of years.
