The use of hearing aid analyzers, which measure the electroacoustic performance of hearing aids, and real ear measurements, to measure the performance of hearing aids while being worn has become as common as audiometers in an audiology practice. IA is proud to represent several manufacturers who offer this type of equipment. Frye Electronics provides the model 6500, used by more hearing aid manufacturers than any other analyzer. Frye also offers the portable FP-40 and the desktop version model, the FP-40D. Other manufacturers include Interacoustics whose AFFINITY system includes hearing aid analysis and real ear measures as well as an audiometer, fitting software, and office management software. |
