Instrumentation Associates offers a comprehensive selection of ABR's. We have the ability to offer combo units such as we have the ability to offer combo such as Intelligent Hearing Systems units with the newest technology available. ABR testing has long been a proven method for assessing the neural integrity of the auditory system. Diagnostic ABR is considered the "gold" standard in the overall assessment of the auditory system. Diagnostic ABR, however, is not an acceptable infant hearing screener since it must be administered by highly trained personnel, is too time consuming, requires expensive equipment and, therefore, is too costly to implement on a large scale.
Screening ABR instruments address these issues quite effectively. These instruments are automated, portable, and less expensive. Only a short period of time is required to train personnel on electrode placement and equipment operation. (We should emphasize that automation of the screening test in no way eliminates the need for an experienced audiologist to supervise and oversee the screening program).
Acquired test data are analyzed and compared to an algorithm within the software of the test instrument. If a favorable comparison is obtained within an acceptable period of time then a "PASS" is obtained. Conversely, if the acquired results do not compare favorably to the algorithm, then a "REFER" message appears.
Intelligent Hearing Systems is able to offer diagnostic ABR, ASSR, AABR, OAE with high frequency, Aligned ABR; for detecting minut tumors.
Interacoustics ECLIPSE ABR/OAE SYSTEM
EP15 is a modern 2 channel ABR system which can run on your own PC via the Eclipse black box.
EP25 is identical to the EP15 but offers an advanced auditory package including ECochG, VEMO, ML, LL, P300 and MNN - each with dedicated filters and marking software. In addition, an easy to use Cochlear Implant stimulator control is available for electrical generated ABR tests.

Tests and stimuli
The EP15/EP25 will run automatic test routines and test setup examples come preprogrammed with the instrument. A wide variety of stimuli include clicks, tone bursts, variable envelope selections and masking including stimuli and recording parameters for VEMP .Unique features also include automatic wave marking, waveform reproducibility indicator, digital off-line filtering and a patient talk forward function.

Database and networking
A database and integrated report generator create professional reports. There is even the possibility of sending individual sessions to other workstations or offices by e-mail or diskette for further evaluation.

The extensive display control from the main screen allows the examiner to quickly change settings such as display gain, input gain, EEG display, dB selection, and frequency filter settings. The test and settings may eve be controlled by a completely different workstation if the system has been set up for networking capabilities.
